Dez Bryant says he is playing Sunday
By Mike Dyce
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has been battling some back injuries but announced that he will play on Sunday. Bryant has been battling some back issues and had an MRI earlier in the week. There were some concerns Bryant could have a bulging or herniated disc but Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said it is muscular related.
“I think we’re going to be fine,” Jones said, via ESPN Dallas.
“We don’t seem to have any long-term concern about that at all,” coach Jason Garrett said. “We’re just trying to address an issue. If you look at our locker room and probably locker rooms all over the league a lot of guys are nicked up this time of year and you’ve got to do your best as a medical staff to get them healthy, to get them out on the practice field and get them ready to play on Sunday.”
The Cowboys will need Bryant against the New Orleans Saints.
There were reports earlier in the day that he was practicing and looked great.
Dez Bryant agreed.
