While we are still one day early for the release of the official trailer for the upcoming 50th Anniversary Special of the longtime running British sci-fi series Doctor Who, the people at BBC have managed to give Whovians something to watch over and over again until the trailer releases tomorrow; a clip from the actual episode.
In the short thirteen second clip, the Eleventh Doctor, played brilliantly by Matt Smith, and his companion Clara, portrayed by Jenna Coleman, are faced with something quite impossible.
Take a look for yourself.
As usual, show runner Steven Moffat loves to give you more than enough to make you entirely interested, only to cut you off and leave you begging for more.
The Day of the Doctor will see the return of the widely popular 10th Doctor, played by David Tennant, and his first companion Rose Tyler, portrayed by Billie Piper.
Both Tennant and Piper have not appeared on the sci-fi hit series since saying their goodbyes in 2010 during the episode entitled ‘The End of Time: Part 2’ that saw the 10th Doctor leaving his beloved Rose Tyler at Bad Wolf Bay for the very last time.
The episode will also see the introduction of a previously unseen incantation of the Doctor played by Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’s John Hurt.
The full trailer for the episode should be released tomorrow. While you are waiting patiently, or in my case not so patiently, for tomorrow to come, there has been a trailer for the episode released that takes a look at all of the Doctors throughout time and space. You can view that trailer here.
Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary Special entitled The Day of the Doctor will air on BBC One, BBC America, and simulcast around the world on November 23rd.
