Not only was the news about Cutler returning on Sunday against the Detroit Lions shocking news to Chicago Bears fans, it was a sign of hope.

This team’s offense didn’t play all that bad after Cutler went down with that torn groin and looked like it was going to be able to do just fine even if Cutler was going to sit out the full four-six weeks.

Cutler is having a great season so far for the Chicago Bears as the team was ranked second in points per game on Monday against the Green Bay Packers. Of course, the team ahead of them in scoring is the Denver Broncos, a team that we all know is led by the great Peyton Manning.

This season Cutler has a 64.9 completion percentage, 91.7 passer rating and has almost 1,700 yards passing with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. With Cutler in the starting lineup on Sunday against Detroit, it’s going to be a hopeful day for his wide receiver corps, who have all stepped up this season.

Today head coach Marc Trestman was asked about Cutler, the following tweets by Zach Zaidman have Trestman’s response to these questions.
