New 'This is Sportscenter' commercial poking fun at alternate uniforms (Video)

Sports, throughout the last few years, has been taken over by an epidemic. A uniform epidemic, to be exact.

Your grandfather’s favorite, traditional uniforms are gone for most athletic teams at all levels, of all sports, and they’ve been replaced with flashy new attire that have parents digging into their wallets to get their kids the replicas and everyone staring into amazement–good or bad–at their television sets.

Well, we had to know it wouldn’t be long before ESPN took a jab at one of the biggest trends in all of sports, and they finally have.

In the latest ‘This is SportsCenter’ commercial, the ESPN crew this time pokes fun at the alternate uniforms by giving a funny glimpse of what it would be like if they did the same thing for their anchors.

This might not be on the level of the John Clayton one, but it’s certainly funny nonetheless:

I know it’s a spoof, but if you think about it, they definitely have a point in this one.

For all the criticism the network takes, these commercials are a bright spot within that company.
