The Florida State Seminoles were in an unenviable position last night. The No. 3 team in nearly every major college football poll was reduced to nothing more than a mere spectator as the No. 2 Oregon Ducks looked to continue their march towards the BCS Title game, while the Noles, even with an undefeated record, were likely going to be shut-out of the title game.
But after the Stanford Cardinal were able to upset the Ducks, the Noles suddenly found themselves in control of their own destiny and now the favorite to face the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Championship.
As of now, CBS Sports projects that very matchup to occur, and College Football Expert Phil Steele also believes it will be a sea of red in the title game with the Tide facing the Noles for the BCS Championship trophy:
