We are officially getting in to invite season for the 2014 Reese’s Senior Bowl and a number of players have already get some good news in the mail. The latest player to receive an invite to the Senior Bowl is Buffalo Bulls star linebacker Khalil Mack.
“This is a special honor for Khalil, his teammates and our football program,” head coach Jeff Quinn said in a press release from the university. “Khalil is a high-achieving person in his personal life, as a football player and as a student and I couldn’t be more proud of him.”
Mack is one forced fumble shy of the NCAA record and he currently leads the team in tackles, while ranking third all-time in the NCAA with 67.5 tackles for a loss in his career.
During Senior Bowl week at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, Mack will have the opportunity to take a step up in competition and show NFL scouts and personnel members what he can bring to the professional level.
The Senior Bowl always showcases the top senior talent in the nation, so it is a great honor for Mack to be recognized.
If he can put together a solid week in Mobile, he could end up solidifying a first-round draft stock.
