The Auburn Tigers are in Tennessee trying to get a win. So far it’s been a shoot out. Tennessee opened the scoring on their first drive with a field goal. Later in the first quarter, Nick Marshall threw a touchdown pass to C.J. Uzomah to give Auburn the lead. The extra point was blocked.
Tennessee followed that up with a field goal and a touchdown to take a 13-6 lead with a strong touchdown run from Raijon Neal. Auburn’s offense tied the game with a touchdown with a touchdown on a two-play drive. Nick Marshall rushed for 62 yards and then Tre Mason rushed for 13 yards and the touchdown.
Auburn held Tennessee on the next drive and forced them to punt. Michael Palardy punted the ball 54 yards and it was fielded by Auburn cornerback Chris Davis. He then took it 85 yards for the touchdown and the go-ahead score.
I believe that is Davis’ first punt return for a touchdown this season. Davis came into the game with 8 returns for 114 yards.
