Auburn’s Corey Grant wasted no time putting a dagger into Tennessee’s back, taking the opening second half kickoff back 90 yards for a touchdown. It was the second return for a touchdown of the football game, as Chris Davis took a punt back earlier for 85 yards and a score.
The Tigers opened up a 21 point lead on the play and are eating up chunks of field at a time on each and every drive they begin. As you can see here from GifDSports the offense isn’t even having to come on the field for what seems like half the time.
Tennessee is showing they are really far behind in the speed game and Butch Jones really needs a great recruiting year to turn this around. The Vols tacked on a field goal but Auburn went right back down the field on the legs of Nick Marshall and Tre Mason for another touchdown. The score is now 47-23.
