‘Doctor Who’ Official Trailer for Released for ‘The Day of the Doctor’

The day is here, Whovians! Well…the first day. Today, BBC released the first official trailer for the 50th Anniversary Special of the longtime sci-fi series Doctor Who entitled ‘The Day of the Doctor!”

The eleventh doctor, played by Matt Smith, and his companion Clara, played by Jenna Coleman, will have travel through time and space to face down something that is seemingly impossible.

The Day of the Doctor will see the return of the widely popular 10th Doctor, played by David Tennant, and his first companion Rose Tyler, portrayed by Billie Piper.

Both Tennant and Piper have not appeared on the sci-fi hit series since saying their goodbyes in 2010 during the episode entitled ‘The End of Time: Part 2’ that saw the 10th Doctor leaving his beloved Rose Tyler at Bad Wolf Bay for the very last time.

Not only will the episode see the introduction of a previously unseen incantation of the Doctor played by Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’s John Hurt, it will also mark the return of the Daleks, the Doctor’s greatest rival.

On top of being simulcast around the world on the 23rd, ‘The Day of the Doctor’ will also be shown in select movie theaters around the world in stunning 3D. You can see more details on the event, where the episode will be shown, or how to buy tickets here.

Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary Special entitled ‘The Day of the Doctor’ will air on Saturday, November 23rd on BBC One and BBC America.
