After yet another huge victory last week over the Miami Hurricanes, the Florida State Seminoles traveled on the road today to play the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, giving them a bit of a rest.

It has been all relaxing so far, as the ‘Noles are currently doing what they do best, blowing out Wake Forest at halftime by a score of 42-0.

With Oregon QB Marcus Mariota now all but eliminated from the Heisman race after the loss to Stanford on Thursday, the stage is all Winston’s now, more or less, to claim the trophy all to himself.

Today against the Deacs, he added another record to his already impressive resume in his first season to help him accomplish those Heisman aspirations.

Winston’s two-yard TD pass to fullback Chad Abram at the end of the first half was his 26th on the season, which was good enough for him to break the ACC record for scoring passes tossed by a freshman.

The previous record of 25 was held by former NC State quarterback Philip Rivers.

At the half, Winston has 128 yards on 14-of-22 passing and probably, given the score, will not play in the second half much, if at all.
