The Florida State Seminoles did what they’ve done all year long on Saturday afternoon when they absolutely obliterated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 59-3. It was complete and total domination, which is exactly what they’ve displayed against every opponent that’s been put in front of them so far.
With the win, the ‘Noles clinched the ACC Atlantic Division and are now guaranteed a spot in the conference championship game next month against the winner of the Coastal, which could be either the Duke Blue Devils, Miami Hurricanes or Virginia Tech Hokies.
But, the Seminoles are definitely there for the second consecutive season. Although, it looks like this time there will be more than just a shot at the Orange Bowl at stake. If FSU remains unbeaten until then, a win in that game would put them in Pasadena for a try at the national championship in the final installment of the BCS Title Game.
Florida State winning two ACC titles in a row certainly makes it seem as if this program is indeed back to where it once was.
