I like what the NBA is doing. In an attempt to get rid of flopping, the NBA has a rule that warns players for flopping violations, and then receive fines for them after the initial warning. They will make them public, so a little embarrassment from the fans can add to the punishment.

In last night’s game against the Bobcats, Iman Shumpert took an imaginary elbow from Gerald Henderson, and exaggerated contact that didn’t exist. The NBA has warned Shumpert has been warned him for flopping, and he will be fined 5,000 dollars next time he flops. Shumpert joins James Harden, John Wall, and Kevin Love as players being fined. Those are some big names.
