I wrote earlier today about the Heat-Celtics rivalry dying. I was wrong. This game may have lacked star power on the side of Boston, but their heart carried them in this game on the road. The Heat and Celtics traded blows all game long, but the Heat took the lead late. They then went up by two with 0.6 seconds left, and Dwyane Wade went to the line. He missed the first free throw, and then he purposely missed the second. He didn’t go a very good job. Wade missed the rim on the free throw, so the ball was blown dead. The Celtics had one more chance with 0.6 seconds to go. I think they liked the outcome:
Green hit the improbable shot, and he finished with 24 points to lead the Celtics. The men in green have now won 3 in a row under Brad Stevens, and moved to 3-4. The Heat fall to 4-3, and it will probably start to raise questions on whether they are in trouble or not. The Heat probably can’t take too many games off this season, but they will chalk this one up to a mental error by Wade.
