Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Mixed martial arts legend Mirko Cro Cop was once one of the most feared strikers in the sport, but he has just one win in his career since September of 2010. Cro Cop was released from the UFC after three straight knockout losses — knockouts came courtesy of Frank Mir, Brendan Schaub and Roy Nelson, respectively — but he was able to win in his first bout outside of the UFC.
Unfortunately for Cro Cop, he found his way back in loss column on Friday night.
Cro Cop was taking on Alexey Oleinik in an MMA super fight at Legend – Part 2: Invasion, where he tapped out due to a neck crank at 4:42 in the first-round. The bout took place in Moscow, Russia, with Herb Dean serving as the referee.

It is fair to wonder whether this is the end for Cro Cop, but only he will be able to determine that and he has earned the right to walk away from the sport whenever he sees fit.
