The Auburn Tigers and the Tennessee Volunteers are currently duking it out in a high-scoring SEC match up. Tennessee intercepted a pass from Auburn’s Nick Marshall and returned it for a touchdown to bring the Vols within seven points.
Nick Marshall responded on the next drive by giving the Tigers a touchdown and a 14-point lead again. Marshall faked the hand off to the right side and pulled the ball out. The defense all bit on the fake, and Marshall took off to the left side. He didn’t get touched the entire time he was running down the field for the score.
It was his second rushing touchdown of the first half. Marshall leads the Tigers in rushing with 164 yards, on 8 carries, in the first half. That is more than the entire Tennessee team got in the first half.
He has also added a touchdown through the air. He has completed 3 out of 5 passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.
That’s right, that last touchdown run was for more yards than he threw for in the entire first half.
