Rony Jason punches through wall after loss; taken to hospital

To open up the main card of UFC Fight Night 32: Belfort vs. Henderson, The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil winner Rony “Jason” Mariano Bezerra took on Jeremy Stephens in what many expected to be an action packed featherweight bout.

While there was plenty of action early, the bout did not last long thanks to a perfectly timed head kick from Stephens.

Stephens baited Rony Jason into dipping his head right into the quick and it immediately knocked the Brazilian out cold. Stephens tacked on an additional punch for good measure, as he brough an end to the bout at just 40 seconds in to the fight.

Afterwards, Jason took his frustration out in the locker room where he ended up punching through a wall and cutting himself. As a result, he needed to make a trip to the local hospital.

You would like to see a fighter compose himself better after a fight, but like Dana White said, “you do stupid stuff sometimes.”

Jason has plenty of room left to mature, but hopefully he will be able to channel this energy in the right direction as he looks to bounce back in his next UFC appearance.
