Hoping to cash in during a somewhat weak free agent market, free agent outfielder Shin-Soo Choo is reportedly looking to secure a contract worth more than the $126 million contract handed out by the Washington Nationals to Jayson Werth.

Prior to the start of the offseason, many assumed Choo would find a deal similar to that of Hunter Pence of the San Francisco Giants who signed a $90 million dollar deal a few weeks back.
Of course, what Boras is reportedly asking and what he’ll be able to get for Choo are two different things, but it’s clear that he and Jacoby Ellsbury are set to cash in as the two prized outfielders in the free agent pool.
It’s still unlikely Choo will be able to pull such a deal, but hitting the $100 million dollar mark may not be out of the question.
