The Miami Hurricanes and the Virginia Tech Hokies are currently at halftime of their pivotal ACC Coastal Division match up inside Sunlife Stadium. Through the first 30 minutes, the Hokies are leading the ‘Canes, 28-14.

It’s been a somewhat back-and-forth affair so far in this one, as these two teams battle for the right to eventually play Florida State in Charlotte for the conference championship in early December.

In this one, Hokies QB Logan Thomas has been able to manage the Virginia Tech offense rather well. He’s battled some turnovers lately, but that seems to not be an issue in this one.

He’s also getting some help from his wide receivers, like Joshua Stanford did late in the second half.

On a 3rd-and-17 play, Thomas dumped one off to Stanford, and he proceeded to shake off every Miami defender in front of him, en route to a 28-14 lead and a 32-yard TD:

More plays like that, and the Hokies will be in good position for a shot at the ‘Noles.
