Earlier in the day on Friday, the Virginia Military Institute opened up their season against the Citadel Bulldogs in the All-Military Classic as part of the opening week of the 2013-2014 college basketball season.

After a 14-17 season last year, the Keydets got off to a good start this year as they were able to defeat the Bulldogs, 82-71 in Friday’s opener. VMI was able to get a phenomenal effort from freshman guard QJ Peterson who dropped in 25 points to help with the victory.

But, no one is really going to remember stats from this game, and Jordan Weethee made sure of that.

With about two minutes left in the first half, the sophomore forward decided that he wanted to get himself a little bit of attention. He was very successful in his effort as he landed himself an early candidate for Dunk of the Year with this massive throw down:

I don’t know what was better. His dunk itself, or his immediate reaction after.
