Bobcats coach Steve Clifford back with the team

We told you last night that Steve Clifford had been released from the hospital, but it now seems that he has returned to the Bobcats.

“I was lucky. It was a warning sign and I’ve since been educated that a lot of people who have strokes or heart attacks don’t get warning signs,” Clifford said. “Also fortunate I had great doctors. They have a good plan for me, and I’m going to follow it and get better quickly.”

This is great news for not just the Bobcats, but for Clifford’s family. The Bobcats are 3-3 on the young season, and that’s with Al Jefferson missing the last 5 games. It isn’t likely that Charlotte will make the playoffs, but they should be improved this year, and Clifford is a great coach. They do have some young talent that needs to be developed, but if they can get a high draft pick this year, the Bobcats could see themselves in the playoffs next year. Albeit as the Hornets, though.
