Thomas’ breakout this season has come in large part because the last two season have been almost completely ruined by ankle injuries, but it appears as though his latest one will not be an issue going forward.

Through nine  games, Thomas has now caught 41 passes for 543 yards and nine touchdowns. He’ll be a big asset going forward for Peyton Manning and what looks like the NFL’s best offense, and he now can be viewed as a solid TE 1 in fantasy football. Only the likes of Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham should force him to your bench going forward.

Because there are so many other playmakers for Manning to throw to like Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Erick Decker, it’s hard to call Thomas an “elite” fantasy football TE, but he’s a great player who you should feel very fortunate to have on your team, especially since you probably snagged him off the waiver wire after the season began.
