The Phoenix Suns continue to surprise everyone.
On Sunday night, the Suns defeated the New Orleans Pelicans by the score of 101-94.
Anthony Davis only managed to score 14 points on just 5 of 13 shooting, pulling down 12 rebounds and adding 4 steals. He only blocked one shot this evening, and the Suns’ front court rotation of Markieff and Marcus Morris, Miles Plumlee, and Channing Frye did a good job limiting the Brow-inflicted damage.
The supposedly-tanking Suns have somehow managed a 5-2 record, including a sparkling 4-0 mark at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix.
Eric Bledsoe has been fantastic, and put up another 23 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds tonight against New Orleans. Regression is to be expected, but the Suns’ schedule actually sets up very nicely for the rest of the month of November. They’ll play Sacramento, Utah, and Portland twice each, along with Charlotte and Orlando. The only likely losses on the schedule are at home against the Brooklyn Nets and on the road against the Heat.
Gerald Green added 15 points while Markieff Morris led the bench unit with 23 points on an impressive 9 of 12 shooting.
