Richie Incognito says Jonathan Martin jokingly threatened to kill his family

Much has been made of Richie Incognito‘s sit-down interview with Jay Glazer on Fox NFL Sunday, though it was a comment from Incognito that stirred the internet this morning.

When Glazer questioned the Miami Dolphins’ offensive lineman about his relationship with Jonathan Martin, Incognito suggested that nobody knew how the two players interacted with each other. And while he admitted that some of the words he used were inappropriate, the context of how they were used was normal between Incognito and Martin.

Incognito went as far as to say that ‘just a week’ before the ‘scandal’ broke, Martin had texted Incognito with the following message:

I will murder your whole f****** family.

It was just a short clip of the interview which aired, so there was no word if Incognito could produce such a text message from Martin, though that would certainly swing public opinion on the situation if such a text message did exist.

It’s a story that seemingly continues to get more and more strange by the day.
