Stetson dropped their season opener at Clemson by a score of 71-51 on Friday night, while Notre Dame won its opener on Friday night, defeating Miami (Ohio) by a score of 74-62 at Purcell Pavilion. Senior Jerian Grant led the Fighting Irish with a career high 26 points against the Red Hawks.

Though Notre Dame led by as many as 16 points three times during Friday’s 74-62 victory over Miami of Ohio, that lead was cut to eight with 6:20 remaining in the contest. The Irish shot 50 percent (26 of 52) from the field, but the RedHawks often outhustled the hosts and finished with a 30-27 advantage on the boards.
