Well, it’s not like he’s missing much.

According to the Lakers, Steve Nash’s bad back has flared up yet again and he will not return to the Minnesota-Los Angeles game tonight at Staples Center.

Of course, the Wolves are leading the Lakers by 20+ points midway through the third quarter, so why not save Nash for another day? There’s little hope of the Lakers getting back in this one, so it makes sense.

Still, it isn’t great news if you’re a Lakers fan, especially given the rash of injuries that nagged at Nash all last season in Los Angles. Here’s hoping it isn’t anything serious, and we’ll see Nash back on the Staples Center floor on Tuesday night against Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans.

This had nothing to do with Nash’s bad back. This is a nerve issue caused by the broken leg–the same injury that took him down at the end of last season. It reappeared about a week ago according to Nash.
