As bad as the loss was today for the Tennessee Titans against the previously winless Jacksonville Jaguars, it was even worse when starting quarterback Jake Locker went down with an injury.
Locker was injured with time running out in the first half after he ran for an eight-yard gain on an option play. He went down, but actually stayed in the game for another play. He was replaced the very next series by Ryan Fitzpatrick.
He went to the locker room and did return to the sidelines during the game on crutches.
But now, it seems almost a certainty that today was the last Tennessee fans will see of Locker this season. It’s now being reported that the Titans’ signal caller has suffered a Lisfranc injury that will require season-ending surgery:
Titans believe QB Jake Locker suffered a Lisfranc injury that could require season-ending surgery.

With this news, Fitzpatrick will now more than likely take over full-time for the Titans under center.
