Tre Mason plans on rewarding his offensive line with cake and/or burgers

The Auburn Tigers have grown into an unstoppable force on the ground this season, and running back Tre Mason, who has rushed for 1,038 yards and 16 touchdowns, wants to reward the big guys on the line for their efforts.

Here’s Mason from last week:

I told those guys I’ve got to bake them a cake, do something nice for them, because those guys don’t get as much love as they’re supposed to. Without those guys, my success wouldn’t be possible (

But after the Tigers gouged the Tennessee Volunteers for 444 rushing yards on Saturday, Mason admitted that the offensive linemen deserve a more immediate reward. “I might cheat and get those guys some burgers,” Mason said.

Man, burgers and cake? Can I be an honorary offensive lineman for a day?

The Tigers and their dominant rushing attack will be up against the Georgia Bulldogs next weekend. They will then have a bye before taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide in game that I think is supposed to be some sort of big deal.
