Andrew McCutchen, David Ortiz executive producing baseball show for MTV

Remember when MTV used to be about music? Me too, but those days are long gone, replaced with reality shows, like the one being produced by Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen and Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz.

The two stars, who are well known for their hilarious and larger than life personalities decided to combined forces and put together a show for the popular television network, which will feature both Ortiz and McCutchen staring in skits among other things:

They plan is to record most of the shows in New York at the MLB Fan Cave and it will feature music artist, pop culture and segments/skits with different players.

The untitled show is tentatively scheduled to begin during Spring and will likely feature around thirty episodes.

As far as what to expect? I’d venture to guess you’ll see a lot of hilarious skits, like David Ortiz trying to hug New York Yankees fans or Andrew McCutchen busting out his best Tom Cruise impression which they recorded during stops to MLB’s Fan Cave:
