The Chicago Bulls just got Derrick Rose back this season after he spent last season recovering from an ACL injury to his left knee. He suffered the injury in the 2012 playoffs and had surgery that May and it held him out of the entire 2012-13 season. So when Rose is seen limping it is cause for concern, and that is exactly what happened at the end of their game on Monday night.
Rose got the ball and went for a driving lay-up in the lane and made the basket. He landed and turned to run back up court but did so with a bit of a limp in his step. The Cavaliers took a time out right after that bucket and Rose stayed in the game. But about 24 seconds later, the Bulls took a 20 second time out and Kirk Hinrich came into the game for Rose.
This doesn’t necessarily mean there is an injury or anything serious going on, the Bulls coaching staff and Rose could’ve just been trying to be cautious. It was a close game when he was subbed out, they only led by 7 points with 3:15 left in the game, so read into that what you want.
