The list of players who have accepted invites to the Senior Bowl keeps growing and the latest is cornerback Darqueze Dennard from Michigan State.  Dennard plays with the toughness and tenacity that has become synonymous with the Spartan defenses under head coach Mike Dantonio.  He has been a factor in the running game while showing the ability to make plays on the football as part of one of the most dominant defense in the Big Ten this season.

Dennard was able to record an interception along with a few tackles in Michigan State’s bid to claim the Paul Bunyan Trophy back from Michigan this year, which has propelled them to be a heavy favorite to represent the Legends Division in the Big Ten Championship this year as he attempts to go out on top.

With three regular season games left to go plus a potential title berth and bowl game, Dennard should be able to have his best season as a collegiate.  That momentum can hopefully carry him into a strong week in Mobile as he competes with some of the best players in the country.  As long as he is healthy, it is difficult to imagine Dennard will back down from that challenge in the latest of a crop of Spartan defenders to make the transition to the NFL.
