Earlier today, the Los Angeles Lakers announced that guard Steve Nash could potentially miss at least two weeks after he was diagnosed as having nerve root irritation in his back.
Nash left the game against the Timberwolves, a 113-90 loss, and he met with the specialist early Monday, when he was diagnosed shortly thereafter.
Of the eight games the Lakers have played this season, the veteran guard has already missed two and will now add these upcoming games to the list.
Nash’s productivity has been down this year so far, anyway. He just hasn’t been the player that the Lakers hoped they would get after they grabbed him following the 2011-2012 season, where his production was through the roof.
Since coming to L.A. it definitely hasn’t worked out as planned. They wanted the Steve Nash that was on those Phoenix teams from 2004-2012.
Apparently, so does NBA TV too:

Again, I’m sure that Lakers fans and management wish that was the Nash they were getting back after this injury heals up.
