Ohio State WR Evan Spencer on Alabama and Florida State: ‘I think we’d wipe the field with both of them.’

We already learned that Ohio State Buckeyes’ head coach Urban Meyer believes his squad is better than the Florida State Seminoles and continues to vote his team second in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll, just behind the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.

One of Meyer’s players, wide receiver Evan Spencer took it to another level.

“I’m a little biased,” Spencer told reporters via Austin Ward of ESPN Monday. “I think we’d wipe the field with both of them.”

Spencer was clearly talking about the Tide and Seminoles.

Other Buckeyes’ players would prefer not to get into a debate and stir up any trouble.

“I don’t want to talk about [the BCS],” Left Tackle and team captain Jake Mewhort said. “Right now, we’re just focused on beating Illinois. If we ever come to that hurdle, we’ll think about that then.”

Mewhort is right. Whether or not the Buckeyes could actually defeat the Tide and Seminoles really doesn’t matter. Unless one of those teams loses, the Buckeyes won’t have the chance to prove Spencer right or wrong.

Yeah right! OSU track record against schools from the Sunshine has been dismal at best!

Bias is when you think your kid is smarter than your neighbors kid. Spencer is simply delusional.

Says a player who has never played any team in the top 15. How would he know, he’s never played anyone?
