Peyton Manning will ‘absolutely’ play vs. Chiefs
By Josh Sanchez
Peyton Manning aggravated a high right ankle sprain in the final minutes of the Denver Broncos win over the San Diego Chargers. The injury may limit Manning in practice, but his status for the Week 11 Sunday night match up against the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs is not in jeopardy.
Manning underwent an MRI on Monday and the results showed no structural damage, which was obviously music to the ears of the Broncos, their fans and fantasy owners alike.
There was never really any doubt that Manning would miss the game vs. the Chiefs, but Mike Klis of the Denver Post confirmed Manning will “absolutely” play on Sunday.
The only question now is how the Broncos poor offensive line will step up.
They have been doing a miserable job of keeping defenders off of Manning and they will need to up their game and give it their best effort against the Chiefs relentless pass rush.
If they don’t Manning could be under fire all day long and be at risk of further damage.
