Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose Mike James to knee injury

This is very bad news, as The Bucs will now have to rely on Brian Leonard. Just last week, James rushed for 158 yards against the elite Seattle Seahawks defense. Miami’s run defense ranks No. 21 in the league, meaning James was poised to have a breakout game.

ESPN is now reporting James’ injury is just a minor ankle injury and that he is questionable to return to the game tonight. That would be big news, as it looked to be a very serious injury at first glance.

For the year, James has 55 rushes for 254 yards and no touchdowns, but he did throw a nice jump-pass TD last week:
