Anytime a point guard around the NBA is asked who his most difficult cover is, they’re almost always say Chris Paul. And for good reason as the former Wake Forest product is disgustingly good on or off the dribble.
That’s something Corey Brewer of the Minnesota Timberwolves recently found out as he was on the wrong end of a Chris Paul crossover on Monday night.
With the Clippers leading by five points with just under five minutes left in the second quarter, Paul acted as if he was going to take a Blake Griffin screen and hit the high flying dunker for a lob or a give and go. But what Paul opted to do was change direction, which sent Brewer falling to the floor.
Paul quickly pulled up and drained the open jumper, which lead to the camera panning to Brewer where he could be seen laughing at what had happened just moments ago as teammates giggled alongside him.
At least Brewer got a smile out of the embarrassment.
