Florida QB Tyler Murphy a ‘game-time decision’ for Saturday, Marty Mornhinweg’s son may start

Florida Gators third-string QB Skyler Mornhinweg may get a chance on Saturday to see his first collegiate action.

On Tuesday, Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease said that current starting QB Tyler Murphy–who’s filling in for the injured Jeff Driskel–is a game-time decision after suffering a shoulder injury in this past Saturday’s blowout loss to Vanderbilt:

If Murphy can’t go, and it sounds like he may not, it will press the redshirt freshman into action on Saturday. Mornhinweg did begin to warm up on Saturday after Murphy was hurt, be he never got into the game.

Should this end up being the case, this will be the third quarterback that Pease and head coach Will Muschamp will have to use this season, adding to the current woes which include a myriad of starters already out for the year.

Earlier this week, LB Antonio Morrison was the latest addition to that list.
