Invicta FC 7 bouts could determine next strawweight title challenger

As Carla “The Cookie Monster” Esparza gets ready to make her first title defense at Claudia Gadelha at Invicta FC 7, Dec. 7, there are a couple of fights on the card that could determine the next challenger for the 115-pound championship.

In one fight you have Tecia “The Tiny Tornado” Torres taking on Felice “Lil’ Bulldog” Herrig. In another you have Scottish Striking Sensation Joanne Calderwood squaring off against Katja “The Killer Bunny” Kankaanpää.

Both fights are expected to be exciting yet one could determine the next challenger for the Invicta FC Strawweight championship.

Both Calderwood and Kankaanpää have enough fights to challenge for the strawweight title. Herrig also has a lot of experience and is one of the most recognizable fighters in women’s MMA though she may not challenge for the belt if Esparza retains the title.

As for The Tiny Tornado she may lack in MMA experience, but she it up in Muay Thai experience, having acquired a plethora of championships.

Invicta Fighting Championships’ strawweight divison is perhaps their move competitive division and no doubt fans will be treated to some great fights at Invicta FC 7.
