Louisville’s Luke Hancock expected to return tonight

Good news, Louisville fans.

It looks like forward Luke Hancock will make his return tonight as the Cardinals take on the Hofstra Pride.

Coach Rick Pitino is confident that Hancock has recovered from his Achilles injury that kept him out for the whole preseason. Via ESPN,

“He won’t miss a beat,” Pitino said. “He’s as smart a player as I’ve coached.”

The Louisville Cardinals are also missing a few other men on the court this season, but it looks like their returns are in the foreseeable future as well.

The 6-foot-6 Behanan was reinstated to the team Monday after missing a month of the preseason due to a suspension.

Behanan was in street clothes for Saturday’s victory against Charleston but will be available Tuesday night.

“I’m not sure whether he’ll play,” Pitino said. “It has nothing to do with the suspension. He’s a little rusty.”

Kevin Ware also has the potential to return to the floor tonight after his horrible leg injury in last year’s elite eight. It could aso be said that his return won’t be tonight, but his status could change at any given point. Although, I personally don’t think Ware will be playing much of tonight, that’s if he gets any time at all.
