First up, the 15th-ranked Northern Illinois Huskies.
Current Power Rank: 57
Current Strength-of-Schedule Rank: 121
Games Remaining: 4 (with conference championship)
Undefeated Chances: 23.7%
Closest Remaining Game: at Toledo (November 20)
The Huskies busted the BCS last season despite losing a game last season. If you are from a non automatic qualifying conference, you must finish ranked in the top 12 or be in the top 16, but ahead of a conference champion from an automatic qualifying conference. Since the Central Florida Golden Knights are likely to win the American Athletic Conference and are currently ranked 17 in the BCS, behind both Northern Illinois and the Fresno State Bulldogs, that certainly could happen.
If it plays out like that, the bowls will likely decide whether or not they want the Bulldogs or Huskies.
The Huskies will finish up the season like this:
Wednesday, November 13 vs. Ball State, 8:00 pm EST, ESPN2
Wednesday, November 20 at Toledo, 8:00 pm EST, ESPN2
Tuesday, November 26 vs. Western Michigan, 7:00 pm EST, ESPN2
The Huskies would also have to play in the MAC championship game likely against against Buffalo or Bowling Green.
