‘American Horror Story: Coven’ Episode 6 Preview ‘The Axeman Cometh’

All hell is going to break loose tonight on an all-new episode of American Horror Story: Coven. Let’s take a look at what we can expect from tonight’s episode entitled ‘The Axeman Cometh’.

First and foremost, we have the terrible tragedy that has befallen Cordelia. After being attacked in the ladies room of a bar where she was finally spending some quality time with her mother Fiona, Delia lays in a hospital both disfigured and blinded by what doctors assume to be sulfuric acid.

However, with the sudden loss of her sight, a new power has manifested. While asleep in the hospital, her husband Hank touched her hand as what would look like a normal gesture from a husband to his wife. Unfortunately, the average person would not see the rabid sexual encounter that he had with someone that he barely even knows while he and his wife are having such difficulties conceiving a child.

Unfortunately for Hank, thanks to Delia’s newly manifested power, she knows everything he did while he was on his “business trip”. I guess Fiona is about to get her way. Cordelia will finally see Hank for what Fiona has said he was since the very beginning. Hopefully, Fiona doesn’t follow this up with one of her signature ‘I told you so’ moments.

Let’s not forget that Zoe has manifested a new power as well. There hasn’t been much light shed on the exact nature of this power, but we know that it stopped one of Marie’s raging undead “dead” in his tracks. It also cancelled Marie’s hold over said undead creatures. I am certain this will come into play somewhere when it comes to the Coven handling their voodoo queen problem.

Speaking of their Voodoo Queen problem, I am sure that we have not seen the last of Miss Marie Laveau. She is still teeming with hate and rage after the beheading of her dear Bastien, aka the Minotaur.

Since she has discovered that the direct route didn’t work, she is going to try a different approach. This time, she enlists the services of a professional witch hunter to try and serve sweet revenge to the women of the Coven. This will prove to be an interesting little game. I’m not sure how long one single man is going to stand up to the wrath of a very angry supreme and her charges.

Finally, this leads us to what may turn out to be the biggest problem of them all.

As you know, Miss Myrtle Snow was tried for crimes against the Coven and sentenced to burn at the stake in last week’s episode. This was certainly a happy occasion for Fiona, who has never once seen eye to eye with Myrtle. Unfortunately for Fiona, this will not be the final time we will see Miss Snow.

At the end of last week’s episode, we see Misty Day nonchalantly strolling through the exact area where they had burned Myrtle at the stake earlier in the day. Her burnt corpse lie silently at the pinnacle of a small hill. Misty leans over her, puts her hands on her head, and suddenly Myrtle is awakened.

I think it is pretty safe to say that Myrtle is not going to want to leave well enough alone, and she is going to lash out at the Coven in a big way; maybe even with Misty’s allegiance secured. Boy, that sure wouldn’t spell out good things for the Coven.
