James Harden will appeal flopping fine

James Harden has already been fined for flopping. In a game against the Blazers, Harden got “hit” in the face, and he was warned for flopping. He played the Clippers in the 7th game of the season, and he flopped again, which warranted a 5,000 fine. Well, according to CSN Houston, he isn’t in agreement with the first one:

“The first one, I really did get hit in the face,” Harden said. “I’m trying to appeal that right now. I really did get hit in the face, it was just a late reaction….

“I don’t want to be known as a flopper or a guy who is looking to get calls, that type of player,” Harden said. “That type of player I’ve never been. It was a bad call.”

That proves that this works. It may not be about the 5,000 dollars, but the fact that they are thrown out to the public as floppers is the bigger deal. Some players care about how they’re perceived and about how their ranked, and being called a flopper can be a huge hit to that. Don’t expect this to get overturned.
