Miami Dolphins’ head coach Joe Philbin held a team meeting with five members of his team’s leadership council on Wednesday.

“We were just talking about how the locker room was feeling and what we got to do. … It was a really productive meeting,” defensive tackle Paul Soliai told James Walker after Wednesday’s practice.

According to Walker, the players in attendance were Soliai, linebacker Dannell Elerbe, center Mike Pouncey, quarterback Ryan Tannehill and defensive end Cameron Wake.

Tannehill seemingly agreed with Soliai, saying the meeting “went great.”

Of course, guard Richie Incognito is also on the council, but he is currently suspended.

The Dolphins have seemingly become the most dis-functional team in football, even losing 22-19 to the team that previously may have owned that title, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on Monday night. They have handled the entire Jonathan Martin situation poorly and could be blowing a golden opportunity to earn the AFC’s final wild card spot. The Dolphins have lost four of their last five games to fall to 4-5 on the season. They’re in third place in the AFC East.

The Dolphins will host the San Diego Chargers Sunday at 4:05 pm EST.
