The Miami Dolphins are in the middle of a skid. They’ve lost five of the last six games after a 3-0 start. They lost on Monday night to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well. Not to mention the team is in the middle of a locker room scandal involving alleged bullying between offensive lineman Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin.
That has some of Miami’s fan bases venting on Twitter and radio stations that there needs to be jobs. Some fans have even called for people to be fired, including owner Stephen Ross.
“I’m happy fans are passionate,” Philbin said, via The Tribune. “We have a loyal fan base. We all want the same thing. We want to have a team that is consistently competing for championships and represents the organization the right way on and off the field.”
Dolphins players admit that there has been some distractions.
“Yes, we faced a lot of distractions,” quarterback Ryan Tannehill said, “but leading up to this game, the last few days I’ve had a good feeling that the guys were ready to play.”
