Penguins and Flyers almost brawl (GIF)

Things are getting testy between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia early. The Flyers are on the offensive when a cutting Brayden Schenn for the Flyers takes out Pens goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. It looks intentional to me.

As he is skating across the crease Schenn just lets his stick hang out there clipping the back of Fleury’s legs causing him to lose his balance and fall to the ice. It even looks like Schenn pulls a little bit because he is knocked off balance.

There is no way incidental contact would cause them both to lose balance like that, not with just his stick clipping the back of his legs. Of course, the Penguins players, namely Robert Bortuzzo, come to Fleury’s defense and get in Schenn’s face about it. That leads to some pushing and shoving and a brawl almost breaks out.

Schenn got two minutes for goalie interference.
