Georgia Tech at Clemson final score: Tigers rout Yellow Jackets at home, 55-31

The eight-ranked Clemson Tigers welcomed the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets into Death Valley on Saturday, looking for another victory to keep their BCS at-large hopes alive, and they did just that. The Tigers were able to easily handle the Yellow Jackets, 55-31.

This was a game where we got to see the Tajh Boyd that we all knew and loved. The senior went 20-for-26 for 340 yards and four touchdowns. One of those TDs was a record-breaker.

A 76-yard touchdown pass late in the second quarter to Martavis Bryant gave Boyd the ACC record for career touchdown passes with 96.

It was a great night for one of the best signal callers in ACC history, although it wasn’t a happy ending. Just as the fourth quarter began, Boyd went down after a run with what appeared to be a shoulder injury and was taken back to the locker room. However, fortunately, Boyd did return to the sidelines and seemed to be fine.

Since the Florida State loss, the Tigers have gotten back to their old ways as this was the third consecutive game since then that they’ve scored 40 points or more. If they keep impressing like that, they definitely keep those hopes alive of returning to a BCS game, more than likely the Orange Bowl should Florida State win out the rest of the year.
