Thursday night’s edition of ESPN College Football brings us an ACC match up between the 6-3 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the 8-1 Clemson Tigers.
Since losing handily to Florida State last month, Clemson has gotten back to their old, dominant ways. They’ve blown out Maryland and Virginia in their last two outings as Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins have gotten themselves–and their team–back on track.
More importantly, the Tigers are still in BCS contention, despite the Florida State loss, so winning out the rest of the way still means everything to Dabo Swinney his squad.
Georgia Tech also has something big to play for. With a win on Thursday night, the Yellow Jackets will clinch at least a share of the ACC Coastal Division. After appearing in the ACC Title Game last year, a second consecutive trip could still be in the cards for the triple-option-running kids from Atlanta.
Date: Nov. 14
Start Time: 7:30pm ET
Location: Clemson, SC
Stadium: Memorial Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Live Stream: WatchESPN app
Odds: Clemson -11
Prediction: With both teams having something to play for, this should be a fun one–for about three quarters. In the end, that Tiger offense may be a bit too much to handle for the GT defensive unit, and Clemson should be able to survive in Death Valley.
Clemson 37, Georgia Tech 21
