Islanders fist bump kids on way to locker room (GIF)

This is a pretty cool scene from the New York Islanders game against the Los Angeles Kings. On their way off the ice and into the locker room at the end of the first period, the Islanders were greeted by some young fans.

The kids had their hands out like any young fan at a sporting event. The Islanders were good sports about it and gave the kids some friendly fist bumps on their way to the locker room. There pretty far down the tunnel so who knows how those kids got down there, it isn’t like they’re hanging over the rail at the tunnel entrance.

You can see that there is a cover for that area. Nevertheless it is cool to see because of the barriers between hockey players and the fans usually. You can interact through the glass but not actually come in contact with your favorite players.
