Wednesday, the Major League Baseball Cy Young awards were announced for both leagues.

From the American League, the honor this season went to Detroit Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer. Scherzer was more than deserving of the honor, going 21-3 on the year and striking out 240 batters as he helped lead the Tigers to another AL Central crown.

On the National League side, Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw picked up his award after going 16-9 on the season with a 1.83 ERA while striking out 232 men at the plate.

Both aces were absolutely well-deserving of the honor and will now each have some new hardware to put in their trophy cases at home.

They’ll also have something to put around their wastes, too, as it appears they each were awarded WWE-style championship belts to honor their accomplishments:
