The Montreal Canadiens have a back-to-back set this weekend, facing off against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night before squaring off with the New York Rangers on Saturday. Peter Budaj will be making his fourth appearance of the season against the Jackets, while No. 1 netminder Carey Price will get the nod against New York.

Through very limited action, Budaj has actually been quite effective for the Canadiens this season. He has a 2-1-0 record and sports a spectacular 1.34 GAA to go along with a .953 save percentage.
Budaj only has played 179 minutes this season though, which means that 56 other goalies have seen more playing time. He’ll be going up against a Blue Jackets team that is the 19th-best squad in the league when it comes to goals scored per game. Columbus has only won once in its last seven contests, and isn’t exactly coming in hot against Budaj.
On Saturday, Price will be in net against the Blueshirts. The Rangers have been playing much better as of late, but they still aren’t outstanding. Montreal has a good chance to get back on track with this back-to-back against very beatable teams.
The Canadiens are 4-4-2 in their last 10 and could use consecutive victories to give them a jump moving forward.
