Marcos Galvao and Tom McKenna will battle tonight in a Bantamweight bout at Bellator 108. In Galvao’s last fight in Bellator he lost to friend and training partner, Eduardo Dantas. That fight was for the Bellator Bantamweight championship back in February. Tonight, he will look to rebound in his 8th Bellator fight against submission artist, Tom McKenna. McKenna will be making his Bellator debut with a record of 7-3. 6 of his wins have been by submission.

Round 1: Overhand right from Galvao is blocked. Big slam takedown for Galvao! Galvao quickly gets both hooks in and is fishing for the choke. Galvao landed some heavy hammerfists from back mount. McKenna turns and Galvao is now in full mount. McKenna turns again and Galvao is fishing for the choke again. Back to full mount and a arm-triangle attempt from Galvao. He gives it up and starts raining down haymakers. McKenna turns again and Galvao has a crank from the back. Big right hands landing for Galvao and his transitions are just pristine. Galvao is landing some nasty elbows. McKenna can not get up. Galvao has wrist control and may be looking for a Kimura. Galvao switches to an armbar and McKenna is on top. McKenna gets up but immediately eats a right. Huge double leg for Galvao! WOW! More ground and pound from Galvao, and he has both hooks in. Galvao is just pounding away and he looks to the ref to stop it. Finally, the ref gives in and stops the fight. That was a complete mismatch. Galvao was the much better fighter.
